Almost a year later and still no album... Buyer be AWARE!

I was recently married, well I say recently, it will be a year officially as of 4/19/09. As I am sure anyone who reads this can appreciate the stress that can accompany the planning of a wedding can be crushing, especially for the woman. Unlike most people in my and my new wife's position we did not have the good fortune of having parents that could pay the tab, we did, and we were happy to.

Arguably the biggest area of contention between myself and my wife was the selection of a photographer, it was left to me to make the choice and I selected a few to look at. To make a long story short my wife came to me with the advice that we should use the same photographer her sister and husband had, just a little more than a year earlier, and had a quasi friendly relationship with them. I had even met these people and would have never dreamed of what was too follow and continues to go on.

I resisted the idea of using them at first as I wasn't blown away with the work i had seen, but after my wife detailed some of the horror stories she had read and seen, I thought better of it and decided along with her that we should probably be cautious and use them to avoid the possibility of that type of experience. Well, here we are, nearly a year later... And still no album. We even paid up front, as my wife's sister had used them on two prior occasions, I had no reason to think that they would do us wrong.

We are protected legally through measures we have taken and Linda at Turners will answer an email from time to time and we hold out hope that we will get our album before our anniversary which is 4/19 today is 3/16. I would caution anyone against doing business with these people, or at least don't make the same mistake we did and prepay, but honestly do you really want to make people, capable of this type of behavior and business practices, a part of your big day!!! I don't think so!!!

In closing, i welcome any rebuttal that Linda at Turners photography may have and would certainly welcome a day in court, it would be very interesting to watch her defend her behavior after I have presented the numerous emails with all of the lies stated in them with fictitious dates that came and went and still no album, and not least of which, it has been great to have spent all of the money we did on the wedding and have nothing to commemorate it with. Along with the numerous times I have had to console my wife due to the most special day of her life being tarnished by people that cant honor their obligations. If this report prevents one person from reliving the same experience then i will consider this report worth while.
