Unauthorized billing for services I did not agree to or sign up fo

I was recently sent a text message that came from an anonymous 5 digit number thanking me for my subscription renewal to a service I had never heard of before, info-text-alerts. I decided to ignore the message thinking that it was better to not respond.

However, three days later my wife received our cell phone bill and a charge for $9.99 was on it for this service. As I said, I had never heard of this before, let alone signed up for anything from this company.

I am writing this to notify others of the scam. I have called the phone number listed in this report and went to another web address (www.cancelalerts.com) and caceled in both places. I just did this today, so I have no idea if it was successful or not.

I have requested some proof from this company as to how they thought I agreed to the services, but seriously doubt if I ever receive a response. I would like to know how many others have experienced the same thing that I did. Beware!
