Breach of Privacy Policy

In October Harvertys account services gave a person whom was not listed on the credit card information about a purchase made including the delivery of the furniture. This is actually illegal to do and goes against there own "Privacy Policy" they have on there own website.

In this it cost my husband and I $11,000 worth of vandalism to our house that was broke into by the women (my husband ex wife) over the phone. Even with his ex-wife confessing to where see got this information and that all she did was call Harvertys over the phone to find out the balance on the credit card. When she was given the amount on it she then inquired why it was higher then she thought. Thats when she was told that there was a purchase of a cough and a leather chair, when they where bought and where they were delivered. This women was not a name listed on the credit card, so she should have never been given information.

Harvertys has taken no responsibility to this and this women has even went to jail for a second degree felony. Harvertys did not even offer to replace the pricey cough and leather chair that was only weeks old and was ruined by this women whom poured bleach allover and scratched up.

This also cost us having to move out of Amarillo, use a PO box to not be found and for my children there security. I cant believe a place with a high reputation would act in such a way. This could have even went as far as costing a life. This women was not a mentally sane person and to be given our address was very dangerous. I am hoping that by me getting this out will make people and potential customers of Harvertys to stop and think if they wont to give them there business. Companies need to be held accountable and not try to intimidate customers so they don't have to take the fault, this has cost my family so much that words cant even express.
