I guess I feel pretty smart right now. And didn't get TOTALLY scammed. Just about a half hour ago two young girls about 20 years old came to my gate. Selling magazine subscriptions. Being a college student myself I understood the help they needed. So I thought. I asked them if they had been to my neighbor. Oh. Yes they said, he bought 4! So I picked out a magazine for my kids $44.00 for 2 years. I wrote a check. They gave me a receipt. I came inside and thought wow they were really sweet. Wow was I deceived. I called my neighbor and asked if the girls were at his house. He said yes. I said to him "you bought 4 subscriptions?" he said no I didn't buy any. I got on the computer and typed in the company name on the receipt. To my surprise the name Renee Rogers came up, which is the name on the receipt which is the name linked to the scam. Yep the oh so sweet girl that claims to live around the corner. SCAMMER! Thats ok. I took care of it.
