Extremely rude telemarketer, called even if I am on the "do not call" list

Someone (unknown caller") called my home asking to speak to my husband who happened to still be at work. The voice had a heavy Indian-sounding accent. He spoke to me from the beginning of the call in a very stern, angry tone and referred to my husband as "%" (last name). He did not use the form of address "Mr."; simply our last name. My husband is in health care where he has a number of colleagues from India. Thinking this was somehow some irate colleague, I intentionally kept my composure out of respect. I asked very nicely who he was and what the call was about. He answered in an angry tone that "This is Diego" (unusual to have a latin name for a person with an Indian accent) and insisted that he speak with my husband. I calmly and politely told him that my husband was out. He then insisted on knowing when "%my husband's first name_" would arrive home. I told him that it would be another hour. Curious, I again asked him politely what the call was about. He then rudely said he wanted to speak with someone else who was over the age of 18. He apparently thought I was a child or a teen-ager because of my voice (I am over 30 years old). At this point, I suspected that this was a telemarketer rather than a colleague and I told him that I was the wife. He sounded taken aback and then proceeded to announce that "due to my family's gas and grocery purchases, his company, EZ 1, was offering a $300 voucher..." I cut him off at this point and asked in a harder tone than I had previously used to speak to his supervisor. He said no and asked why. I stated that this was something for his supervisor and me to discuss. He said "no you may not" and hung up on me.

This type of telemarketing is extremely aggravating. Our number is on the "do not call" list and this is definitely a violation of that. Also, the rudeness he displayed was despicable, particularly in his line of work. This incident got me so riled up that I felt the need to research online and report his behavior to the management of the company, only to find out that this company scams people by using their credit card information illegally. Please stop these people from bothering and scamming others.
