My car was stolen they still want me to pay for the ca

I had just got outta jail needed transportation to get to work, the kids to school. I got a 2003 Chevy Cavalier the only car i was able to get which had scratches and little dents all over it. And paid 22 thousand for it well thats what they wanted after the car got stolen this guy Mike called me and my mommean as heck demanding payment. I still owe 9 thousand on it which hs hurt my credit bad and made ne unable to get another vechile to this day
