My husband received a "final notification" that he had won $250,000.00 and that after several attempts to contact him they had sent a check to cover the taxes on the winnings. Well this struck me as curious since we never entered any contest and then the amount of the check sent was no where near what the actual taxes would have been.

Next the letter says that the tax payment must be sent by moneygram but not to deposit the check until you call their claim agent. Well guess what? The phone number is bogus and the last time I checked neither the IRS nor the State of Georgia accepts payment via money gram.

So beware and spread the word if it sounds too good to be true it IS and it could cause you a lot iof hassel and huge cash losses.
