Vacation scam

Chalk another one up for universal, they ripped me off good my case is of course very similar to all who have mad a complaint; It starts off with one person talking to you and you are told you won then she asks for your visa number, and i state to her i thought i won then she says she is just using it for reservation purposes. Then she gets the visa number and i thought it was for hotels and such which is usually the norm for booking hotels. I then get transferred to another operator who then "verifies" my information???

Mean while the first person is probably speedily taking 620.04 Canadian from my visa account. Thats when the second person states you did not win anything and it was not a contest I'm thinking HUH that's not what the first person said though??? I got off the phone and thought hey i think i have just been scammed, i contact my visa company (Royal bank) and cancel my card just to be safe, HA to late they already took the money but it takes me a couple of days to determine this.

I tried to fight the charges, i called my visa company and they said they could not reverse it. Samantha Brown extension 280 then calls my wife at work no less, to say she understands we are disputing charges, she then gets the visa company on the line and plays the taped conversation to my wife and the visa company, i was not even aware that she was hearing my conversation with universal, Samantha did not let either my wife or the visa company know that she did not get my permission to hear the conversation. And conveniently leaves out the first part of the conversation where i state nothing better be charged to my visa for something i "won".

So to those who have been scammed your certainly not alone, and to those who think they "won" something you most certainly did not this is for sure the biggest rip off that has ever happened to me! And i will keep fighting to get my money back and in the mean time try to prevent it from happening to others by filing a report with this site as well as the BBB, Phone busters, RCMP and anyone else i can think of!!!
