Advanced Wellness Research, Inc
Nicolas Molina Offshore call-center using harrassing sales phone calls

Miscellaneous

My wife was interested in getting a "free trial" of the Pure Acacia Berry Pro and unfortunately entered my cell phone number in their information capture boxes. She tried to get me to buy it for her, but I had a bad feeling about it and told her that we probably shouldn't given the type of marketing that they do... They charge you $4.99 for shipping for the "free trial". I said that there would probably be even more charges and a hassle to get the products returned and a refund of any further charges. That's exactly what they do.

The day after she wanted to order their product, but didn't, I started getting calls from a NJ number later in the evening (201-918-3048). I never answer calls from numbers I'm not familiar with. The calls kept coming to the tune of 8 calls within 3 hours, the last 5 of which were at 9:47 pm, 9:56 pm, 10:03 pm, 10:08 pm, and 10:12 pm. I answered the call at 10:03 to a recorded message that said to talk to a rep, press 1, to be placed on the no-call list, press 2. I pressed 1... 36 times... Each time being told that "the station you dialed is busy".

During this phone call, I was again called by the same number twice. I picked it up again the second time (10:12 pm... For a sales call) and immediately asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep told me that she would simply put me on the no-call list to which I replied that she was not to hang up on me, but to transfer me to a supervisor.

A few minutes later I was speaking to a female supervisor. I explained that my wife did not send an order, that they did not have permission to call my phone, and that they had called me a total of 8 times in 3 hours. I asked her if that was an acceptable business practice and she said "I'm so sorry". I told her that she had not answered my question and asked her again. She again said "I'm so sorry". Then she hung up the phone.

I did a little research on this company... The address listed on their website: #3 17th Avenue South, Nampa, ID... That's their distribution center and is only for "returns", which they will never "receive", of course. The other address: 500 South Pointe Dr, Suite 230, Miami Beach, FL... That's their attorney's office most likely... That address does belong to an immigration, real estate and corporate law firm. Doing a little more research on the corporation turns up the only principal in the corporation is Nicolas Molina at 1000 South Pointe Dr, #1901, Miami Beach, FL 33139. There are two phone numbers listed: 305-534-1052; 786-220-0201.

I have also done a little research on Nicolas Molina and it seems that the SEC was after him and his mother in 2000 for insider trading. It seems that Mr. Molina only cares about the almighty dollar without regard for the rules or who his "business dealings" affect.
