Greatest Kept Secrets - secret Society Tried to scam Elderly Grandparents

Elderly grandmother recieved a letter stating that a secret society of the rich and famous have selected her to join their society and in doing so all of her greatest dreams will become reality and that the "powers" she recieves when joining this society are almost 'supernatural' and she too will become rich and famous, she will even lose weight and become ten years younger overnight. They promise prosperity, love, happiness, and total peace of mind {this written directly from the letter}. She asked me to read the letter because she didn't know if it was sent from God or the devil so naturally I googled it and found it to be a scam.in the letter she only has until Jan. 30th to respond. Why people are allowed to do this to people I will never understand now I have to be the one to let her down by letting her know she will have to keep living on her social security check instead of the millions they promised her.
