Scharly Design Studio is a Paris (France) based interior design studio and according to their web site, www.scharlydesignerstudio.com) with an office in Montreal. They accepted in writing - a proposal, they asked for, to find them a representative in the province of Quebec with a $400.00 down payment.

The agreement they signed is very clear, $400.00 upon acceptance of the proposal and I invoiced them. I also proceeded with the first phase of the proposal (prepare them two drafts of a representative agreement) which were discussed twice over the phone. All of sudden they decided they would no longer pursue the idea of working with a representative and unilaterally cancelled our agreement (which they are entitled to) without paying the $400.00 deposit I am entitled to. Scharly Design Studio has ignored my request as to when I could expect payment of my Nov. 20 invoice for Cdn$400.00

In the mean time, after some research, although they claim to have an office in Montreal, I found out they are not registered as a business in either Canada or in Quebec and that the phone number they show on their web site is not registered to Scharly.

My advise is stay away from these people.

My agreement with Scharly Design (in French) and copies of the draft agreement I prepared and unpaid invoice (sent to both their Paris and Montreal offices) are available upon request.
