Sent collection letter for debt that was never owed

On Saturday 1-24 I received a letter from RJM regarding a debt for a Mastercard that i never had through Citibank. The alleged debt was for $4,300.00 with three offer to settle, one for 50% of the alleged balance the other two for monthly installments. Problem is I never has a MAstercard with Citibank or any other provider. When first contacted by RJM, I requested proof of the alleged debt, but received nothing.
I have sent them a cease and diset letter, Lord knows what will happen next?
