Trying To rip me off!

Over the past year I have received letters from this company stating I owe them $300.00 for some magazine subscription. First off, I haven't received any magazines and second I don't owe them any money. I have tried resolving this on my own but without any luck.

I did receive a phone call from them one time about six months ago asking me for my banking information but I told them i don't know what this is for and I don't give out that kind of information over the phone.

I also think that if this was a legitimate company I would have been sent to a collection agency by now. I don't understand how people can get your information and then come up with a bunch of crap saying you owe them.
