Dyro Productions
Grateful for those who reported this company

Miscellaneous

Hello to everyone reading this!

I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who filed a complaint on dyro productions. You have no idea just how grateful i am to all of you.

I just moved from los angeles, california to houston, texas during the holidays and i obviously needed a job to help my fiance pay our bills, etc. Well, i got on craig's list & saw a posting that said "customer service position, no experience necessary, paid training, $12.00/hour or $month." i had never worked in customer service before & i needed to get a job fast so i called (the posting said to call jessica or carla).

I spoke with carla who asked me if i would be available the same day for an interview. I said yes & was happy that the company was only 6 miles away from our apartment. So, being that i didn't know my way around houston yet & the company was very close to my future brother-in-law's house (where i had been before), i went in for the interview (on a monday).

When i arrived at the company, it looked like a ghetto ass brothel turned into an office-type atmosphere. There was 1 guy filling out his "application" already. There were a few females sitting at desks to the right & some old crappy dinner table in an empty room to the left. I walked up to the first female & told her i was there to see carla for my interview. She advised me to write down my name, carla's name & the time so i did that & sat down at the crappy dinner table.

Needless to say, i never met "carla" (i don't even think some of these people use their real names) but some really short guy who looked like he was in junior high & got beat up most of his life came out to the table, didn't even call out my name & just used his puny little hand to motion me to go inside. I followed him to some tiny little office where there was already a guy sitting in the corner with a clipboard. Weird.

Anyways, i sit down & he talks for about 5 minutes or so about how his company is expanding & that they're currently working on promoting/selling some home maintenence unit that supposedly does EVERYTHING. I played like i cared although i remembered that i was applying for the "customer service" position so what do i care? I don't have anything to do with the selling of any of their products, right? He goes on to say that they are hiring for the customer service position that i'm applying for & that the pay would be $month which didn't even include bonuses.

He tells me that i'm not required to sell anything but that if i do assist in selling one of the kirby vacuums, i could make a minimum of $month extra in bonus money. I wasn't interested in selling but figured if it happens, it happens. He says to call some woman named vanessa within an hour of me leaving the parking lot & she will let me know if i got the job or not.

I leave the company parking lot, hop onto the freeway & call as soon as i get home. My fiance had come home at the same time as me so he was next to me when i called. I spoke with vanessa & she tells me "congratulations, you're hired & i look forward to working with you". She goes on to say that i should report to the company in 2 days (wednesday) at 2 pm to begin the first day of training. I was ecstatic.

I needed a job so desperately & this sounded like a great opportunity to gain some customer service experience. My fiance was happy for me & we both breathed a sigh of relief just thinking that we wouldn't have to struggle so much financially with 2 incomes now. Soon after that, my fiance says, "are you sure there's not some catch to this new gig?" at first i said no & went on to give him more details about what the interviewer told me about my duties.

My fiance had worked at some shady sales jobs before & was worried that this would end up being a commission only job & that the company had just mislead me. At this point i started getting a little concerned myself so i typed "dyro productions" on a search engine. It turns out, they don't have a website? That was a little disturbing considering that the interviewer made it seem like dpi (dyro productions inc.) was a reputable & established company. This is how i found usacomplaints.com. I began reading the reports made by innocent people like me & was so shocked to find out that i had been scammed.

I guess my desperation for a job got the best of me. All i can say is that after reading every report made on dpi, i was so pissed off & felt like an idiot. I vowed not to show up to the first day of "paid training" & i didn't even call dpi to let them know that i wouldn't be there or come up with some bullshit about getting another job offer. After all, they weren't honest & direct with me so why should i be honest & direct with them?

Thanks again to every single one of you out there that posted your experience with dyro productions. You saved me a lot of time, anger, grief, disappointment & gas money! I will be forever grateful.
