Horrible and Abusive Treatment of Customers trying to correct Homecommings Major Errors leading to Home Loss

After months trying to get my loan under control, innumerable hours waiting and calls transfered, I got my loan approved in the mitigation department only to be denied again in a letter two days later.

Making payments on time, escrow took out more than the allotted amount, last August, which caused my loan to be behind payment schedule in the amount of $124.00 which I could have easily paid at the time.

Escrow reviewd my account x 3 weeks, placing my loan in further default, since they could not account for the $740.00 taken out.

It has been a battle of faxing, phone calls, outright lying, condescending conversations and endless hours on the phone with Homecommings financial.

On Nov. 4, voting day, I finally received an ok to proceed to pay my previous scheduled amount and that I would be put back on a payment plan and my house was not in forclosure.

On Decemeber 3 I made another scheduled payment, only to find out later (about 2 1/2 weeks) through a letter from Western Union that my payment was not accepted, (although Homecommings insisted I pay)
and that I had to start from scratch again.

I have been told recently, in a phone conversation, that the previous agents from the Loss Mitigation department had informed me incorrectly, and regardless of the problem and the ordeal they have put me through (which includes faxing bank, work statements, letter of hardship and escrow's mistake etc. And funds misappropiated and proof of insurance which I all supplied) that I had to pay a certain amt. Which I did on Jan 2 to be kept on a payment program. I just got confirmation of this by mail yesterday.

In the mail today, a letter stating that the investors will not approve my payment schedule. The agent was so demeaning, and said it didn't matter what had taken place in the last months, but to move on, releasing them of any inconvenience, responsiblility or acceptance of fault.

I have been misinformed, lied to, deceived and have spent many hours trying to rectify their error only to find out now they are not accepting the plan they (Loss Mitigation) approved. I feel this company is forcing many homeownere into default and subsequent forclosure. I have had my house for 20 years, only to run into this type of consumer abuse these last 4-5 months.

Is there any help? I am so sick of them telling us while we are waiting, or even worse loosing heart, that 'this phone call is important to us', is an outright lie, and outrage.
