I think that organizations that lie on the television to solicit funds for "non-profits" should be held to standards that include telling no lies in their commercials. If they are not held to be truthful, are they not commiting fraud?

They state that the Polar Bear "is on its way to extinction." There is no proof of that. Actually, there is proof to the contrary.

Why do organizations get tax free status desinged to rip off people by using emotionally charged and untruthful advertising?

I feel that someone should be held accountable. I have not been personally damaged, but I believe that if I were to advertise using lies and half truths about other issues, like gun owership or others, then I would be chastized and run up the pole.
