How to get your money

I, like many of you am a mobile dj that did work for A Solid Gold Sound, and wasn't paid. I sent the emails made the calls and nothing. I took it one final step. I SUED THEM & GOT PAID!!! John Kruer sent me my cash before the case went to court because he knew he would lose. It will take some time and effort, but if you want your cash this is what you'll have to do. Also, you can file your papers via US Postal so you'll only have to go to Kenton County District Court, located in Covington Kentucky on your court date. My cousin is an attorney and he advised me on what to do.

Follow these steps:

1. Send a 10 day demand payment letter via certified mail to the 495 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017 address. - there are samples of demand letters on the internet

2. After the ten days pass, go to www.kyjustice.org/smallclaims. This is a free how/to site that answers questions and allows you to complete the small claims paperwork needed to file. Fill out the 2 pages completely. Be professional when filling out the paperwork... You'll have your say in court!!!

3. Call the Kenton County District Court (859) 292 6338 ask for small claims.
Tell them you want to send your paperwork in via us mail. They'll tell you exactly what you need to do. This process will cost you apprx $80 (court fees & sherriff serving fees) I wouldn't advise service via certified mail, because he can avoid or refuse the letter.

4.in a couple of weeks you'll get a letter from the court giving you your court date. Be ready to go. John may try to call your bluff and not settle before court, to see if you will go through with it... Sooooo... Be ready to go. If by chance you hear from John Kruer make sure he sends the payment via certified funds or better yet have him wire the unpaid amount plus all court filinf fees to you. Once again stick to your court date. Do not let any stall tactics deter you from your court date.

5. If you do go to court, print out all of your emails, bring your receipts, and be professional. If you have any questions watch some of the court shows!!!
