Video Professor
Another VP Rip-Off

Miscellaneous

I too was ripped off by Video Professor. Amazingly, the product I selected for the "free" trial was very good and I decided to keep it. What I didn't know is that by keeping it I was committing to buy every title in their inventory. This, in spite of the fact that when I ordered the "free" trial and was told other titles would be available to me I specifically said I was interested only in "Excel" and had no need for others.

The TV ad is deceptive.in the samll print the ad says that customers would be given the "option" to buy other titles. What it does not say is that you cannot refuse this so-called option.

I called to complain and was allowed to cancel further shipments and even to cancel the shipment which was on the way but not before I lost about $200 beyon the price of the one program I decided to keep.

The Company seems to have good products, and phone personnel were friendly. I can't believe they need to rip-off customers to be successful. I also cannot believe how brazenly a fraud like this can be perpetrated on national TV under the noses of federal and state regulators who are supposed to protect us from deceptive practices.
