Sent me a check $3995 to cash at my bank, winnings of a lottery, me to send $2900 to them

Please arrest these people that are trying to rip off good citizens like me. I knew it was a scam, but not everyone is aware of this type of scam. I know they wanted me to take it to my bank and cash it, whereas my bank would put a hold on the funds and then of course I was to send them $2900 out of my account and the check is phony so I would be out the $2900.

I don't have that kind of money to waste and I know there are many out there that would have done this and would have been out a lot of money. Those whom don't have that much money may have taken a cash advance from their credit card so they could "win" the money "promised" in the letter. This would have left them with a big credit card bill that they would have to pay back to their credit card company!

Honest hard working people can be easily ripped off by crooks with no guilty concience and they go after more and more under different company names to keep from being caught. I want these crooks put away for a long time. The name on the signed on the letter is Michael J. Hialop, Promotion Manager. I was to ask for "Mr. Bob Clems" the claims/disbursement agent
