Lucid Magazine
Company Rips off Writers

Miscellaneous

I too have been ripped off by Lucid Magazine. I wrote one article, sent in my contract which has my social security number attached (required) and have yet to be paid. I have repeatedly tried to contact them. Even had my son who works a block away for the address listed on their contract went to the location. It appears to be an apartment building with not public access, located at 350 K Street Suite 516 in Downtown San Diego. I have also talked to another publisher of a reputable magazine in Los Angeles who knows Timothy Green personally and says he doesn't know what is going on with LUCID as he has heard numerous complaints.

I have also read many other complaints from writers about not being paid for services. I even went so far to use a totally different email address to request information about advertising with the magazine to get some response and still got nothing. Also found out that Shane Padamada is a former beauty pageant (Miss Philippine), party chick and SDSU graduate who has no degree or background in anything related. Doing a search on Timothy Green it appears he is nothing more than a party boy (check out his my space) with a ton of drunk looking girls hanging around him.

Too all who have also been ripped off, I feel for you. If you have filled out a contract like me then you have also have your SSN out there for who knows who. I have called, emailed, and even had someone physically look for them to no avail.

Good luck from Temecula
