First Premier Bank

On November 10th, I received a letter from First Premier Bank stating that I agreed to accept responsibility for the disputed account on November 3. First of all I never heard of this credit card company and would not open a credit card account due to the fact that I am in a credit counseling program. Well, I called the 800 number that was provided along with an extension of 3541. I called several times that day and left several messages as to what this was all about.

I finally got the customer service and the first thing they lady ask me over the phone was to give my last four digits of my social security number. I thought that was odd and I said I am not giving you this information at all. The lady stated that she could not help me. I tried several times to explain to her that I received a letter and that I needed to speak to management.

Finally, after agruing with the lady for 10 minutes she finally transferred me to a person name "Erin". Erin explained that this particular account was opened on October 14th using my social security number. Erin gave me the name of the person who opened the account. My name was used as the primary user and the authorized user was the one who used the credit from October 24th to October 30th.

Now, I told Erin that I never opened this credit card and I can prove this with my signature and the fact that I had an appointment on October 14th, the day that was card was opened. I never got this issue resolved and in fact I owe the money regardless which was not fair to me. I asked Erin how many fraudulent cases does First Premier Bank get during the year. Erin stated this is not unusual to get as many as 100 or so more of fraudulent accounts that are opened through this credit card company.

I just want to warn people to beware of First Premier Bank of Sioux Falls, SD. They are a ripoff and they do not want to help anyone resolve any issues or to apologize for this fraudulent accoutn being opened under my name.
