Unauthorized withdrawal from my Bank Account

I saw that $31.98 was withdrawn from my account. I finally tracked down the company information, idtheftprotection.com. I opened their website to find out who they are, I called the customer service number and spoke to a person with a phony name. I told him that I have never heard of their company and definately DID NOT authorize them to withdraw any funds from my account.

He said that my information was obtained online when I attempted get a loan with a company. He said that in order to be able to get a loan with the company I applied with, they set me up on their program and all he can do now is 'cancel my service' so that there are no further charges.

There should have never been a charge to begin with and I told him I wanted my money back. He said they cannot return the payment, since I filled out an application for a loan. I just don't get that whole explanation.

I called my bank and advised them that this is a withdrawal that I did not authorize. I will have to go to the bank to fill out paperwork to have it removed and they will investigate this.

Bottom line this is just another low life, underhanded company ripping off people!
