The first tip-off was there was no return address on the envelope and I personally find it unlikely that any large company would use a regular stamp as opposed to a postage-meter stamp, but I opened it anyway. I called just to hear the spill and after giving that horrible "Susan Brown" the claim number, she rattled off something about needing to deposit the check and send back $2,998.00 via Moneygram or Western Union.

I responded with, since I'll already be at the bank why wouldn't I just obtain a certified check. She hung up on me. I called back and before I could even saying anything she actually started screaming at me telling me I needed to shut my mouth, that I didn't know anything and if I wanted the money I better deposit the check. So I said, all I asked is if I could send a certified check and she started screaming again that I was rude and that she would just cancel the claim, then hung up on me again.

I tried to telephone back a third time, just to annoy her, but there was no answer.

What a terrible life one must lead when all they can find to do for a living is sit behind closed doors stuffing and mailing envelopes in the hopes of ripping someone off.
