Debt negotiation scam

About 4 yrs ago I enrolled in a debt negotiation program to settle all of my credit card debts. At the time it seemed like the best option for me to take to get my finances straightened out. The program was for 39 months. Three yrs later only one out my 6 credit cards was paid off.

The original company that I signed with was called Best Debt Solution which I found out later after filing a complaint with the BBB went out of business and had transferred my account to Acushield Financial, which was located at San Diego, CA. Then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

When I filed my first complaint, I managed to get my set aside funds refunded to me after waiting about 6 months which I was told should have been about 30-45 days. I had used the refund money to pay off two of my credit card debts and a few bills. Somehow I had managed to get my finances back on track after undergoing numerous obstacles and setbacks.

While I was on this program my original debt more than doubled and tripled. I was overwhelmed with stress and was hospitalized for a couple of weeks which could have been longer if it wasn't for my strong network of support through my family, friends and coworkers.

During this time my father was also seriously ill and was in critical condition for several months. He recently passed away last month. The money that my mother had saved with her hard earned money, she could have used towards the funeral expenses.instead she helped pay off some of my debts so that my car wouldn't get repossessed. She had to pay my father's burial expenses with her credit card.

Most of the hardships that me and my family went through could have been prevented if I wasn't being scammed by this company. The main reason I got so deep in debt was from various scams in the past related to real estate, telemarketing, infomercials about starting your own business and internet scams.

I recently filed another complaint with the BBB so that I can receive the rest of my money which is for $6080 in bogus administrative and service fees. All they did was take my money every month while my debt and stress level got higher and higher. So far I haven't received any response or updates on my complaint. The money is not enough to repay my mother but it will help to ease some of my pain and guilt.
