Reporting inaccurate debt/broken lease

I lived in some apartments that became very unsafe several years ago. Gang members were buring bon fires in the parking lot and were confronting me on my way to my apartment. I spoke to the landlords and gave a written notice. When I went to turn in my key an entirely new staff was in office. They told me my notice did not exist. I ended up paying thier fee for and extra few days prorated in order to buy a house.

I am now trying to get a condo and I am told Allied is charging that I owe almost a grand. My amount was barely over $100.00. I called and apartments and they said they have no record of me owing anything. My report shows this was paid off in '04 but for some reason Allied decided to add it back in '06. Some very young person answered when I called. He was very unhelpful & unprofessional. This amount was paid off. Allied is a ripoff agency collecting on unfounded debts at the detrement of individuals who actually EARN thier living.
