The Coral Group - Endeavor Marketing
Complete Scam. Rather be a dishwashe

Miscellaneous

This is a warning to all people young and old that are in need of a job and read that this one is a "sports marketing firm". Endeavor Marketing and The Coral Group are the same company. I made a move to Denver in the Winter of 2007 hoping to grow up and get a job using my B.S.in business administration. This was the first time I really tried for anything serious so I began with what I knew how to use (monster, hotjobs, etc.) Within 24 hours I had two companies contact me and tell me how impressed they were with my resume and thought I would be a great fit for the company. I was thrilled and thought I had finally found my calling. I was extremely wrong.

The first interview I went to was the Coral Group. They had me back for a second interview and told me I was going to be doing some "job shadowing". On my second interview I was paired up with a girl that had been with the company for about 9 months and another new hiree. I soon found out that what we were doing nothing remotely related to marketing. We were selling spa coupons door to door in business parks and the local mall. I was ashamed to push the product, people were buying them from us out of complete pity (it was 1 week before Christmas) and if you read between the lines you would see that there were gray areas (i.E. Discount does not include mandatory 20% tip). Long story short. They were thoroughly impressed with me (I didn't make one sale) and I was offered a final interview. I declined and asked for a ride to my car at the end of the day.

Endeavor Marketing really got me though. I was pissed after the first failed job prospect and wanted to make sure I didn't waste my time again. I had an interview with Endeavor and asked them if they were anything like the Coral group. They assured be they were nothing like them and that they weren't even commission based. (all lies). (Just a side note there was 2 hot girls there that seemed to be the chief recruiters. I came back for another job shadow. I still had faith in the company. This time instead of going door to door we went to a Sam's Club. We sat and a table and pushed overpriced, shitty toys onto people coming out of the door. The money was horrible, the guy I worked with was a compulsive liar. He claimed he had a pharmaceuticals job that payed 150,000 dollars a year but there was more potential in this piece of shit job.

These were the worst 2 job offers ever. Don't be fooled by the "white collar sound" of these companies. You will hate the job and literally make 5 dollars an hour. Thats a maybe too. They will tell you they are looking for 1 maybe 2 people and you will feel great about getting the job. I worked during the holiday season (our commission was doubled and who wants to turn people down when they are selling toys to benefit poor kids a week before Christmas. These offices are everywhere, so BEWARE. I just felt obligated to tell people before they waste a week of their lives like I did.
