Physicians Mutual Family Mom died! I'd paid premium in advance. They promised to refund advance premium. DID NOT! USA, Australia, Canada, Omaha, Nebraska Worldwide TV & MAIL MARKETING USA

I bought a $10,000 life insurance policy from Physicians Life Insurance Company of Ohama, NE on my Mom in April, 1998 after seeing a TV ad re: "no physical - everyone approved" and getting a mail solication. She was 79, in good health but had no Life insurance. The premium was $119.00 per month. I always paid the premium in advance, never late. Mom died on 5/3.

When I filed the claim I requested at least part of the advance premium be refunded. When the check came there was no refund. I called and spoke to an extremely rude woman. I told her she irritated me and asked to speak to her supervisor. A few days later I got a call from another woman who undoubtly graduated from the same "rude and irritating seminar".

A few days later I received a mailing from their marketing department, VP asking me to buy more insurance. I wrote a letter to him describing my situation. I got a call from a woman who'd gone to the "sympathy seminar" who said they would be glad to send a pro-rated refund but it could take 6 weeks to process.

It's been five months with no more communication, save more mail solications. My husband and I have 3 other policies which we're going to try to cash in. I urge anyone who has any cash value in one of their policies to get your money out and cut your losses. Anyone who is thinking of buying one of their policies should think of what happened to me.
