Using scare tactics to force repair charging for free inspection...

2-04-03 I went into Just Brakes for the "famous ad" bit. They tore my brake system to bits and beat my drums with a hammer. I know they do require some tapping to loosen but to beat them???

I was told my rotors were wasted and needed new ones. He jiggled and yanked at my lines to show me how bad they were.in doing this, this so-called Skilled Technician could have cracked or completely broken my line open!!! He then continued to the rear to my drums. He took a screw driver and popped a small container open on the drum (not sure what it was) and stuck the screw driver in to show me all the oil leaking out as he jiggled and scraped it around. Well, darn, imagine that! You think maybe it's because of the screw driver it did that??? Or that he opened it in the first place??? Again, this is a Skilled Tech were talking about.

Next, her began scraping and jabbing at the rest of the drum to show me how "dangerous" my brakes were and they weren't even working.

So after all this... I had to pay 50.00 for the "free inspection" and 43.00 for a 10.00 set of pads. How is it that it totalled 96.00 for that when they advertise an entire job for 100.00???

I also had told him that I had an 82 Trans-Am that had new rotors, lines and calipers. Btw... I paid 12.00 each for the calipers on that car and about 10.00 for both pads! 16.00 each for the lines! Anyway, it is out of comission and I have kept it for extra parts for my 83 Camaro. I told him the rotors should work and I would go on and have my mechanic do all necessary repairs. Well, let's not let a WOMAN be right about that!!! He had to check his book only to see that the rotors on the TA matched the ones on my Camaro... IMAGINE THAT!!! Oh, and let's not let her get away without paying for something!!!

The reciept also states that the inspection is free and I paid for that so this joint needs to be brought down!!! I know my brakes were old but funny thing is... It will stop on a dime!!! I knew about my pads but the scare tactics??? It's just got to stop!!!
