Withdrawing money from checking account without permission and verbal abuse and threats

Mccarthy Burgess and wolfe in cleveland ohio is a disgrace to good collection agencies who follow all the rules of the proper way to collect a debt. My husband owes a debt to ameritech for advertising in the yellow pages. At the time the ad was placed he was partners with another company and both parties entered into an agreement and signed the contract. However they are no longer partners and the only information on the contract is our information and phone numbers.

When they called to collect on debt we explained that we also were trying to collect the debt from other business partner who also signed contract. They lied and said they were an attorney when in fact they are a collection agency who purchased our debt from ameritech. We were threatend and verbally abused into giving them our business account information and agreed to a one time payment of $768.00 to be ran in september because we are trying to locate old partner to take to court for his remainder of advertising. Since september they have debited our account on two seperate occasions for $768.00 both times WITHOUT permission.

This company should be out of business for poor work ethics. I would never ever give them any personal information. Our bank has refunded us the money and we have filed numerous complaints agains company...
