Does this sound familiar? WEll after having some financial issues, I prayed and asked God for financial overflow. Two days later, a letter with the heading "Greenlife Assurance Inc." arrived. I thought has to be from my Father. I called the number and talked to Paul who put me on hold like five times and told me to cash my check ONLY with my checking account (red flag), that my financial institution would hold the check of $1980 for a few day (red flag), to send the $1550 to a Ashley through Western Union for fees and taxes (red flag) and they would deliver my check of $37,020 via FedEx in 3-5 days where I must sign and have a photo ID (final red flag).

So I thought well... Why don't you send me the check for 37,020? Why send some now and the whole thing later? Why send it FedEx? Are those fees paying for that? I mean all kinds of questions arose. Paul also said that they had sent me a letter last December and I did not respond. Humm I did not receive a letter from this company. But most importantly... Ummmmm I don't own my home... So... Why are you sending me this?

After praying about it, I decided to check it out on the internet. I plugged in the telephone number and what do I find... The telephone number is from Canada, but the address on the header is from Rochester! The "agent" Ashley is in Brooklyn, but the address given is a NOT KNOWN!

Thank God for the common sense to check it out. Although I am in financial need, I am not that stupid. So anyone who receives this letter... Throw it away immediately. Save yourself the headache.
