Living in Santa Clara County, bought a 60 year old house. The house was falling apart with termites and insects everywhere, was getting sick often. With great difficulty borrowed money and became more bankrupt to put a single level house.
Santa Clara County comes and assesses additional 400K, claiming its worth that much more. Well the Santa Clara County did not give a interest free loan, its my hard earned money, nor they are providing extra services because now its a new home.
The actual cost was $350K slapped 400K as an additional property taxes - where is the justice here.
