Lone Star Subscriptions
Rip off

Miscellaneous

On 9-24-08 at approx. 5 pm my partner was approached at our home by two men trying to sell magazine subscriptions. As you all know they were trying to get points for a trip. The slogan was 12 states in 12 weeks. My partner told them she had no money or the check book so she couldn't help them out. They were about leave when I pulled up.

I asked what was up and they decided to give me the run down of the points and vacation. At this time my Aunt was stopping by to chat so she got the run down to. After hearing the story we both felt we should help. One of the salesman who called himself Tyler Weeks pulled my Aunt aside and got an order from her. The other one named Brandon Barron sold me a subscription. My order total was 40 dollars and her was 113 dollars.

After the guys left I felt uneasy so I decided to call the number on the receipt 940-365-0089. I got an answering service that called themselves A Courtesy Communications. They of course could not answer my questions. I have phoned them about three times and get different people each time I called.

When I got to a computer I researched this company and of course all I found out about this company is SCAM SCAM SCAM. My next actions were to call my local law enforcement which told me to contact the Cleveland FBI. I called the FBI and filled a report hopefully they can help. I encourage everyone in Ohio who has been scammed to them at 216-522-1400.

As I thought more about my conversations with the salesman I remembered they told me they were staying at the Travel Lodge in Mansfield Ohio on Hanley Rd. I called the hotel and they said the group is still there. Myself my aunt and and my partner are going in the morning with local law enforcement by our side to try to get our money back. I will let everyone know how it turns out. These people need to be STOPPED at once.
