Auto Repair Ripoff

My car would go in reverse, but not forward. I sent it by AAA to Dunn's Transmission, after talking to owner about problem. Said was a minor one. This was in July.By Aug they said it needed a transmission. Went over and paid $600 and agreed to pay bal. After repair. They called me in Sept and said someone had broken into my car on their lot and cut the catalyatic converter and steering column, but they would get it repaired at their cost and I didn't have to pay them the balance I owed. November, still not repaired; Dec, not repaired. Jan. I took them to court and they told the judge they would make good on repairs.

After several more attempts, I went back to court; they didn't show up so the judge ordered them to pay me $1.000 all court costs. They made a payment of $300 to the court in April; of which $200.50 went to court costs; I received $99.50. Since then I filed a lein against their tools, cash register, etc. They were served, but still paid nothing. They then claimed to have changed the name of the company, but I can't find any records on file of this. I ordered your book, Rip-Off Revenge and started reading it. I am now trying to follow your suggestions because I may have to picket them and I want this to be on file.
