Charged $34.95 to my checking account without my permission

I found the $34.95 on my bank statement on 8/31/08 with a phone number. I tried calling the number several times and got transferred to another voice service number. I left several messages with my phone number and as of today 9/17/08 know one has called me. I am on a fixed income and did not authorize anyone to take this money from my account.
