My father was a patient at this nursing facility. He is schizophrenic/bipolar and they accept patients with mental illness and retardation. He hit a nurse in the face and they Baker Acted him.
Can you believe that they billed me for the 10 days that he was there that month? He was there october 1st - the 10th and he left on the 11th.
Im not familiar with nursing home billing prctices, but this is not fair.
He was there for two months and he was doing great. He had a relapse and hit a female nurse. They should have known this was likely considering his diagnosis. And he should not have to pay if he was sent out.
