Ripped off church $13,500 did partial painting, ordered rock work was apid, never returned, won't accept calls Suglarland TExas

Advance Roofing & Paving, claimed owner Markos (Marcos) Stanley contacted with a church to do a large inside painting job, outside rock facing on the wall with some new windows.

Markos and his family team showed up several times to paint inside. Slept over at the church. Did not finish paint work, nor finish crown molding and other repairs contracted.

Ordered rock facade facing for outside from a "Dallas" company. He needed the funds upfront as the business was not stable enough to afford the upfront purchase. We have never seen him or his family since. When you call the number of his business it states, "Subscriber's request does not accept incoming calls TX98358." He answered all our calls prior to the rock order.

Mr. Markos Stanley (we are not sure that is his last name) was paid a total of $13,500. With paint purchase, supplies and time his company may have put in $2,000 of work.

The reference sheet he gave us included: Susan Bedford, Steve Dohlin, and Paul Sanders. All gave good references for him. Now all these numbers are not working.

His Certificate of Liability Insurance issued from Allstate at 10995 Broadway in San Antonio Texas 78201 confirmed over the phone the insurance but now the number has been disconnected.

Our church did make the mistake of being to trusting—the man spoke a good story—we would love to find him and have him complete the work or explain the money and the rock work.
