Stay away from Advanta!!! I did not receive my March statement. Advanta claims it was returned by the post office b/c of a bad address. The address was correct but my payment was late for March b/c of this. April & May still not receiving bill but I made payments online - on time. Without NOTICE Advanta increased my rate from 2.9% to 18.74% beginning in March!!! April 4 I was told I should be going back to the promotional 2.9%. NEVER HAPPENED.

As a matter of fact, in August, they increased my rate again to 35%!!! WITHOUT NOTICE again. On 8/8 Andrea told me that when I lost my 2.9% rate, they could not take me back! Thanks for FINALLY telling me the truth!!! Now I was looking at a rate of 35%. There was no way I was going to deal with that.

On August 13th I paid off the bal. Of over $4900.00 (as indicated online) then in Sept. 08, I received ANOTHER bill for an additional $102 for finance charges. I asked them to credit this amount due to their mishaps since March. They refused. After speaking with three reps. I was told that the $102 were finance charges that could not be waived b/c it was due based on the last billing statement and balance!!!

Whatever... Advanta "loses" your statements, increases rates without notice and lies about... Most everything. Even their employee ID#'s. Don't deal with Advanta!!!
