Stellar flooring company and owner, joe smith are very unprofessional and dishonest! Don't do business here or you will have major regrets!

I was looking at doing business with Stellar Flooring Company. I was a little taken back by the fact that when I set the first appointment the rep. Called to cancel because he said he had an emergency. Moments after that, Larissa Smith from Stellar Flooring called to ask me if the rep. At shown yet. I told her that he cancelled due to an emergency and she proceeded to tell me that they had had problems with him in the past and that they thought he was lying. She then offered for her and her husband, Joe Smith to come out to my house.

When they arrived, they had an infant baby with them. It wasn't that much of a big deal but I would have liked some kind of warning that they were bringing a small child since I have two hyper dogs. We expressed to both Joe and Larissa that honesty and customer service were very important to us. We were told that they would not let us down. My partner and I discussed doing business with them and were unsure of going with a smaller company. We decided to give them a chance since we felt that if the smaller man is never given a chance they cannot grow to be big. Boy, did we make a bad decision. We never signed any paperwork with them and we were told not to worry about it. We were told that they would be on Wednesday morning so we called on Tuesday afternoon to get a confirmation of an exact time. No one answered and no one returned our call after leaving a message. My partner called on Wednesday morning when they hadn't arrived within a reasonable time. She was greeted by a man on the other end cussing as he fumbled through paperwork trying to find our order. My partner then asked to speak to Joe. The man, Aaron, told her that she didn't need to speak to Joe and that he would take care of her. I then called and spoke to Aaron who told me the same thing. We were treated very unprofessionally and so I told Aaron to cancel the order. He told me that he would not do that and I told him that it was cancelled and to have Joe call me. Joe didn't call but the installer did about an hour later. I told him the order was cancelled. I found out a few days later that Joe Smith opened an account with GE Money in my name and charged $3,600 to the card before the work was even scheduled to be done. To date, 9/6/08, the amount remains on the credit card. I have disputed this claim with GE Money but must admit, they are just as unprofessional. I am now seeking an attorney and advise the same to anyone who is dealing with these creeps!
