Refuse to honor warranty charged for repairing faulty work

Several years ago a friend of mine has RUSCO in Fargo install a huge patio door for her. What she did not know is that they installed it under a support beam for her whole house - but somehow forgot to put in the correct framing and support when they installed it. SO - her house was being held up by 8 screws and insulation foam for 8 years.

Last spring she went to install new flooring and to her dismay found that the floor and wood around the patio door was ROTTING away. It had to all be redone - why way this? OH - because of the faulty installation. RUSCO Windows of Fargo ND came out, replaced it - this time putting in the appropriate structure supports and then sent her a bill for over $700.00. She had a 30 year warranty. Although she certainly could have and in my opinion SHOULD have fought the whole bill - she kindly agreed to pay half - $350, even though it was TOTALLY the fault of RUSCO.

This week her patio door began to LEAK!!! She called BRAD at RUSCO WINDOWS in FARGO ND (yes i am hoping some kind of yahoo search will pick up those words) and he LAUGHED at her, mocked her for the fact it leaked and told her no one would be out to honor the warranty because they want MONEY for it.

Just wanted to let the world know what kind of company and ppl they are dealing with.
