Telemarketing Scam

Telemarketer called my in April said he was from card services and he would like to verify my card number. Then he mentioned that I qualified for free gas. That's when i realized it was a telemarketer and I hung up the phone. I recently looked on my statements and I was charged $39.90 the first month since April and $19.95 a month. I called EZ1Rate and asked for the credit back and she said I agreed when I verified my card number. So she can't credit me back. Then I ask what I am paying for and she said long distance phone calls for my house phone. I find that funny because I don't have a house line.
