United Marketing Group, Merchant Tech Solutions Unauthorized Check Card Charges

The past two months this company has charged my Business Checking account for $49.95.

When I first saw the charges, I had no idea what they were. When I called them, they stated that I had registered for something online, and the agreement stated that if I didn't cancel, my checking would be charged.

I don't remember seeing any of this information, and vaguely remember registering for a one-time marketing service.

They have agreed to reimburse my account, but I'm concerned about Identity theft from this company. Their shady practices bilk money from unsuspecting web surfers; and that should be illegal!

Watch out for these guys, they have a ton of different companies registered under this umbrella company. DON'T do any business with them.

Another thing... The guy on the phone had no idea who their CEO was. I find this unusual that an employee would not know who his boss is. It's likely a ONE-MAN operation.
I would love to hear from others who've had similar run-ins with this company.
