Money Order Ripoff

I recieved my fist payment that a cousin owed me. I went to cash the money order. The system is telling me it didnt go thru yet. So i waited 48 hrs... Went back to the store again and still got no where. Its been 4 days in counting. My money still hasn't went thru. I dont understand how legal companies can actually get away with playing with peoples money. Some one tell me what i can do to resolve this problem...
