Picked up furniture at 83 yo home to sell on consignment before she moved in nursing home and never paid

Dave baker, the owner, picked up my furniture to sell on consignment. I am 83 yrs old. We were told many times that the items have sold and i would get my money. The contract ended 7/5/08 and we haven't gotten a penny. Whenver we call we are hung up on, or told we will get a return call that never happens. Please help us. I am now in a nursing home and can use the money. Thank you.
