Tulsa World
Incerted $5000 W/of ads in their paper without authorization and then bills me for it

I owned a pizza restaurant called Zarino's Brick Oven in Broken Arrow Oklahoma and contacted a Tulsa World ad rep named Shaun Jamison. I agreed to start advertising with the Tulsa World and told shaun that I wanted to pay in advance via check before any ads where to be incerted.

I have copies of several check to confirm this. The pizza restaurant was a very low priority for me since I have another business with over 70 franchises.

We where notified by the Tulsa World that our company owed a balance of over $5000 dollars. This was advertising spots that I did not authorize. I then called Shaun Jamison and told him that I did not authorize these ads and reminded him that I always would place the ad and pay him by check in advance. I told him to call the main office and take care of this problem.

On 8-21-08 we got a call from a collection agency threatening to put a lien on our home for the 5K balance. The collector accused us of not paying our bills. I have 750 credit.

The Tulsa World ad rep continued placing ad incertions without my knowledge.
I bet for a commission check.

What a scam. I wished my company could just place orders for customers without their knowledge and then bill them for it.

Beware of any ad reps that work for the Tulsa World. This is pretty bad business procedure. I would pay cash in advance and at no time ever wanted an open account with the Tulsa World.

Another good question is, why would they just keep running ads if an account had a past due balance? What a scam.
