Thieves and Liars

Do to a misunderstanding between my husbands employer and myself, after an on the job injury, his hospital bill went to a collection agency.

When I found out I got on the web in a panic to make a payment. I typed in the WRONG web site and got Professional Recovery Systems web site. (I was looking for professioanl recovery Inc. Who are very nice people by the way).

I put in my information and visa number and was told the payment accepted A week later I recieved a letter from them stating "they could not match my payment with the proper account." It had been put inot a trust account.

I have been trying to get my money back for 5 months now. I have been told it was mailed out by check, the money was put back on my Visa etc. I talked with a Tanya Cardinya and a manager Bob Keefe who both told me the money was sent. When I asked for a confirmation number they were very rude and short.

Isn't this against the law since I didn't even owe them money in the first place? I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision and the California Attorney Generals office. I will let you know what happens.
