NSS Magazine Service
Rip-off dishonest deceptive practices

Miscellaneous

I ordered clothing from Roaman's Catalog in 09 and charged them to my Visa check card. At the end of the call, I was offered 2 "FREE" magazines that I could cancel prior to any billing was to start. I selected Reader's Digest and Time. I was told I would get a card in the mail notifing me. I never received anything!
I did call 800 607-9458 for NSS, it is an automated service and you cannot get to a live person! I repeatedly tried to get someone.

The week before Christmas, I was charged $25.00 for Reader's Digest. My bank had a number that I actually got a live person, and I told her I didn't want either magazine and to cancel them ASAP. She assured me she would.

My bank credited me with the $25.00 on 12/26/02. On 12/30/02, my credit card was billed $39.00 for Time magazine. I called my bank's fraud department, and they are calling the company to dispute the charge. I also called 800 607-9458 and the automated system assured me that they would credit me $39.00 in 1 to 2 billing cycles. We'll see.

In the meantime, I'm calling Roaman's (same company as Lane Bryant) and advising them to stop doing business with NSS or they'll lose mine. NSS is just another rip off company!
