I have filed a complaint against this dealership because of the following:

1) Puchased Car on 7/29/08. On 7/30/08 The starter in the truck needed to be replaced. I have proff.invoice number ACCS97541.
2) On 7/29/08 We were informed that on 7/31/08 our navigation disk would be provided to us. It never happened.
3) I was called by Bill Johnson on August 6 informing us that we have been driving around in our truck without any registration. The dealership never registered my truck. My Husband had to take off on August 12 to meet the guy at the DMV to get our truck registered. Bill Johnson wanted us to drive 3 hours to the dealership to get our truck registered. We live in CT and we have to drive to MA. We also have 5 kids.

4) After the phone call on 8/6/08 saying we have no registration I was questioning if the dealership insured our truck. The answer is NO. I have proff and documentation. I called our insurance agency ALLSTATE - and they said no your truck is not insured. What kind of dealership lets a customer drive off the lot with no insurance and registration with 5 kids. After calling ALLSTATE we received insurance on 8/7/08.

5) My Husband was told on 7/31/08,8/1/08,8/5/08,8/8/08 and 8/12/08 that our navigation disk would be in and we would have it. It never happened. I called BILL JOHNSON on 8/12/08 to see where the disk was because he informed us that on 8/8/08 that the disk was in CA and we would have it on 8/12/08. There again NEVER HAPPENED. As a matter of fact when I was talking to BILL JOHNSON he hung up on me because he said I needed to talk to his Superior. Nice sales man. We called his superior, Jerry and he had NO CLUE about the DISK.

I called the 800 number of Acura to file a complaint on 7/31/08. It is documented and it was NEVER answered. I called again on 8/12/08 and received a case manager by the name of Tim McCarthy - Case Number XXXXXXXXXX. He said that the dealership NEVER responded to the complaint. I filed another complaint about this dealership and they responded by saying that they have the disk under lock and key. It is all a lie. They lied to the BBB. They are lieing to us. All we want is our NAVIGATION DISK and to please inform ACURA about the shamful practices of the dealership and how BILL JOHNSON and his General Manager JERRY do not serve Acrua in a good light.
