WM Financial Group
Beware - scam

Miscellaneous

Well, I am another person who received a check in the amount of $3,900.00 from WM Financial Group. Each person who have given detailed information received exactly the same thing from the same people. I called the number given (905-781-0625) and received a recording that the voice mailbox was full and not accepting any messages (of course!). I called the bank that the check was supposedly issued from and talked with a representative.

After giving the check #, routing # and account #, I was told to do the following: fax a copy of the letter to 614-331-9384 and then send the original letter and check to my local authority (police department). The account does not exist and they do not have high hopes of being able to find out who these people are that are sending the checks out.

I am sending this to my local Bureau of Investigations; bypassing the county police department in hopes that they can do something to stop this from happening. Everyone who reads this needs to do the same. If the government receives enough of these, hopefully they will be investigate deeper and stop these scammers from ripping innocent citizens who think they have hit it big when in fact, they are going to be hit bigger when they cash the check or deposit it into their checking account.
