Rip Off says they will get you a great deal on an auto loan, interest is sky high at 17.95%, hard to trade in for a new ca

Miscellaneous

Last november i was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. I was looking to purchase a vehicle so i started my search at Lawley Automotive Dealer in Sierra Vista right outside of Ft. Huchuca. While i couldnt find a good car the dealer was persistant in finding one that would make me buy it. Well. It worked. After searching for a little over a month, i returned to the dealer after the salesman had left me a message stating he had a found a car that i was sure to love.

Later that day i went down to the dealership, looked at the car, and after reviewing the car and test driving it, i was sure it was the car for me. Promising to get me the best monthly payment and interest rate. Everything sounded great until i started adding up the amount of money i was actually gonna spend on the car at the end of it. The car was roughly $16-17,000; in actuality i was spending $25,000 on the car when i added the interest to it. 17.95% on a $16,000 loan; absolutely ridiculous. But buy the time i actually had the time to sit down and calculate everything, i had taken the car home.

I didnt want to be stuck in this blackhole forever so i looked into trading it in for another car with a better payment plan and lower interest. No one wanted to pay off the car so that it would be traded in and i dont blame them. A friend of mine also purchased a car through the same program and dealer and experience the same difficulties with money as i had; waiting for our bi-weekly paycheck hoping we'd have money to spare for weekend once our car payment was taken out.

After months of trying to buy a new car, my friend finally found a dealership who would pay off the balance in order for him to lease another one. I dont know exactly what can be done for me being that im currently deployed to Iraq; but i would hope that when i get home that i would be able to get another car. Is there anyway you can help me?
