Scam on nippon 3.0 digital camera

Yesterday, i received a notice offering an opportunity to purchase a nippon 3.0 digital camera for $40.00. It stated that the information was for me only—all other persons should disregard the notice.
Firstly, i don't know of this company, nor have i ever requested to have a camera reserved in my name.
Secondly, the company provided no phone number, email address, contract representative or even a photograph of the equipment for sale.
I almost took the bait until i looked up the company name online and found an interesting link entitled, dmi ripoff. This confirmed my suspicion that the offer is likely a scam. Well, i'm not going to fall for it, and i recommend that if you or someone you know receives such a correspondence, don't fall for it. It's probably a ripoff.
